I see my success as linked to the success of business. My philosophy of auditing revolves around challenging the business to succeed by creating and effecting positive change. My work is tailored to long-term value creation for the organization.

A list of leading corporations where I’ve made a positive impact include Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, the Province of British Columbia, Gulf Drilling International Ltd, KPMG, and RSM International. I have contributed as an active member of the strategy and policy team including sharing best practice frameworks and collaborating with key stakeholders.

I am also privileged to serve as a member of the Canada Advisory Committee of Internal Audit, President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Vancouver Island Chapter, a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Committee, a member of ACCA’s global forum for Audit & Assurance, and a member of ACCA’s member network panel in Canada.

Some of my key accomplishments include:
– Won the “Internal Audit Excellence” Award (from ICAEW, UK) for establishing the best-in-class Internal Audit Function
– Received the “Internal Audit Beacon” award for providing thought leadership in the field of Internal Audit
– Set up and led world-class internal audit and ERM functions for large public and private sector organizations
– Identified and implemented numerous cost-optimization initiatives in listed oil & and gas sector organization
– Played a key role in elevating corporate governance practices within the organization
– Contributed significantly in corporate strategy and policy formulation
– Lead various “Business Process Re-engineering” initiatives to bring operational efficiency and process enhancement
– Introduced many value-added initiatives and represented internal audit function at critical corporate junctures
